Have you ever played tennis before? I played for a while during my school years. Havent held a tennis racket for a long time since i left school. My niece brought her boyfriend along when we went back to my mom’s for Mother’s Day celebration last Sunday. She told me he’s professional tennis player. That’s good. He can teach my kids how to play when they are big enough to learn the sport a few years from now. Just dont challenge me to a game will do. I dont think i can run around much chasing after a tennis ball nowadays.

He told me he loves lawn tennis too. He played lawn tennis when he was at university. It’s just too bad that he cannot find a good partner to play lawn tennis with him here. Well, he can always teach my niece so that she can play with him. I got to know that he will be going back to his University for a short visit. He says he’ll be back in time to attend the upcoming Wimbledon tennis tournament. he’s already bought his Wimbledon debenture tickets online and cant wait to go back. Are you a fan of lawn tennis. Wifi on Nokia N82

One of the best thing about having wifi on my Nokia N82 is that i can easily scan for hotspots whenever i’m out. I dont really like to remove my sim card for use with my Huawei modem. Find it too troublesome. But sometimes, i have no choice but to do that as some places may not have wifi, and i find that going online using my O2 as a modem is not a really good idea.

I’ve already added a few wlan access points to my list and going online at those place is a breeze. I love sending emails from my Nokia N82 on wifi as it’s so fast. As you know, the image files can be rather big and takes quite a long time if sending them out even on 3g connections. So, with wifi, i dont need to wait long to update my flickr-enabled blogs.

My uncle dropped by with a crate of hubby’s favorite wine this evening. That’s good. We both love a glass of wine during dinner. It’s good for health. Not too much either. A small glass will do. Hubby says he might want to buy a wine refrigerator so that he can stock more of his favorite wine. I’m okay with that. The thing is he’d better renovate our kitchen so that we have the space to put it, lol. If not, he will have to make do with our wine rack.

My sis and i are cracking our head over what to buy for dad this father’s Day. It’s only a month away and we hope to get him something really special. Unlike previous years, the both of us will be sharing a gift for dad this year. This way, we can buy dad something fancy and expensive. I used to buy him really good wine last time. But now, dad’s getting old and he shouldnt be drinking too much wine. On my last trip back home, i saw a few bottles which i bought for him during Chinese new Year. Nope, no more wine for him, lol.

Sis suggested we get dad a watch. Her hubby went to Italy last month and came back with some Anonimo watches brochures. She says they look very nice and her hubby told her their designs are very trendy too. I think my dad would like one of those anonimo watches. I found a website where you can check out these fine anonimo watches. I am surprised with what a wide range they have there. I’m sure you’ll want to get something special for your dad this Father’s Day too, right. I’m off to the site to select a nice one for my dad.

Bye-bye N73… HELLO Nokia N82!!!! The time has come for me to let my Nokia N73 go. It’s hard as i’m quite attached to it actually. Had it with me since 9 March 2007. The Nokia N82 latest price in Malaysia now is only Rm1.9k. Only a slight drop from my last check. I traded my N73 for a miserable Rm420, lol. Anyway, i’m not complaining as i’ve truly maxxed the phone out. So, i only paid the difference of Rm1480 for my Nokia N82. Not too bad, eh.

I gave the battery a full overnight charge. Since i mainly use this phone to flickr-blog, i tried out the new 5mp camera and liked the image quality a lot. Compared to my old N73, the N82 produces really good pics with a neutral tone. I like this very much. The pics are also much brighter and only require minimal manual adjustments. Video quality is also good with TV output quality. I’ve not tested them on the TV yet, but i dare say their file size can be rather large.

If you are uploading it to youtube via the phone, i suggest you keep it under 10Mb or approximately 30secs at the highest settings, in order for it to get past your outgoing mailbox sever. I’m using Tmnet, btw. Yours may differ, k. I’m still figuring how to send larger files. Maybe through Gmail? Too bad i failed at the first attempt as i used the Imap settings at the Nokia’s email client area. I’ll download the Gmail app for mobile and try it out again later on.

The Nokia N82 is a really good phone. Value for money. I just hope this unit lasts me than one year. There are lots of features that i’ve not figured out yet. Like GPS for example, lol. Like how to listen to the radio without plugging in the headset. Damn, i hate wires. Like how to download my gmail emails and not pulling in the thousands of other old ones. I only want new emails notifications. More later. I’m sure the Nokia N82 will bring me lots of joy and keep my blogs looking pretty with so many pics.

Chamomile Teabag in cup. The room is dim and i only had the work lamp on. I used macro setting with iso in auto. No flash. I dont like taking pics with flash. What i see here in this pic is 90% close to the real thing. I’ll charge my Nokia N82 overnight first. Will update more about it tomorrow. New toy…. iLike!!!

A blog buddy of mine is feeling rather down these few days. I read from one of her blogs that she’s doing a lot of thinking as to how best to go about her blogging activities. I think it has something to do about the recent Google Pr update. Oh, i have faith in my blog buddy that she knows what she wants and how to go about it. She’s a strong and determined person. I’ve learned so much from her.

Maybe i should cheer her up with a bouquet of flowers. I may not have the time to head over to the florist today, but i can always buy wholesale flowers online easily. Yup, i’ll do just that. Hope she feels better after receiving it. Flowers never fail to bring a smile to a person’s face. They have magical powers!!!
